"When he finally left the restaurant after first looking through the front window to make sure his stalkers were not visible, he noticed black clouds gathering in the sky to darken the afternoon. Soon thick drops of rain started hitting the city and the lad ran toward the marquee projecting from a building to take shelter. He was planning to go and look Father Celestino up, to tell him all that he had found out. Certainly the old priest would have good advice for him and perhaps he still had some connections with important people in the Church. Suddenly he blanched for fear. Both men in black suits drove down the street in a taxi and spotted him under the marquee. Immediately they told the cabbie to stop and hurriedly disembarked from the vehicle, soaking their shoes into the poodles of water. The young man started running desperately down the avenue, for he was now sure his stalkers wanted to kill him. Running amok he bumped into several passersby and even threw a couple of them into the wet sidewalk, entangled with their broken umbrellas. Both men chased him for five blocks, until Michael tripped, fell down, and was overtaken.

          ‘Give us the briefcase!’ puffed the strongest.

          ‘We mean you no harm…’ asserted the stocky one.

          They forcefully opened the lad’s fingers from the briefcase handle, hailed another taxi, tucked themselves into it and vanished somewhere in the city streets. Michael got back to his feet, wet and breathless, noticing a warm liquid running down his right arm, doubtless some blood. He never minded that. His problem was now quite a different one. Who could those men be? Doubtlessly what they were after were the valuable books he had found. But how could they have known about their existence, the only person he had shown them to was Cardinal Lucatone… He realized the secrets he had begun to unveil were beginning to bother some high-placed people and he would be forced to remain the most attentive from then on.

          While he walked under the rain, Michael began laughing to himself. How much would he like to watch the face of his stalkers – or the physiognomy of whoever had hired them – when they opened his briefcase and found that it was filled only with hygienic paper rolls!"

"666 – Caçadores de Demônios", do Tim Marvim, me surpreendeu muito. Quando recebi o livro não levei muita fé na estória, acho que talvez porque a capa não tenha me agradado, mas vejo que foi um erro enorme não ter dado tanta atenção pra ele logo de cara.

O Convento de Santa Maria Delle Grazie está prestes a receber uma visita importantíssima, o Beato Simão, o qual é conhecido por realizar inúmeros milagres, mas que na verdade não passa de um charlatão que paga as pessoas para se afirmarem como testemunhas ou ‘glorificadas’ por seus milagres. 

Neste mesmo convento mora Abelardo, um padre já com certa idade e que guarda um grande segredo: uma biblioteca secreta dentro do convento recheada de obras raras e únicas. Abelardo não quer morrer sem antes contar seu segredo para alguém, e o escolhido foi Michael. 

Michael fica encantado com todas as obras da biblioteca secreta, e em uma de suas visitas ao local ele descobre um compartimento escondido que leva à Biblioteca dos Cavaleiros Templários. Para ele e para Abelardo a nova descoberta é fascinante, mas tudo muda no dia em que padre Abelardo é encontrado morto, e Michael torna-se o principal suspeito. 

Agora Michael terá de fugir e provar sua inocência. E além de tudo terá de descobrir o que houve com a biblioteca dos cavaleiros, uma vez que depois da morte de Abelardo todas as obras sumiram misteriosamente. Mas ele não irá atrás do Tesouro dos Cavaleiros Templários sozinho, ele terá Michele ao seu lado, uma garota atrevida que irá fazer Michael reconsiderar a ideia de ser frade. 

Um livro maravilhoso! Recheado de aventuras que eu nem se quer tive espaço para mencionar aqui. Vale a pena ler essa obra do Tim e se encantar com a imaginação de um autor muito bom. O livro só não ganhou 5 estrelas devido à capa, que não me agradou, e à diagramação (as letras pequenas fizeram a leitura se tornar um tanto cansativa). Mas apesar desses únicos dois ‘porém’ o livro é recomendadíssimo.

    Hoje, quero aproveitar para pôr aqui no blog as palavras do Jhônatas Ribeiro, um rapaz bastante simpático que mora em Minas Gerais. Ele é um grande fã de ficção e comprou o livro "666 - Caçadores de Demônios" através do Mercado Livre. Já postei muita crítica desancando este meu romance e não vejo porque também não colocar de vez em quando alguns elogios. Grande abraço, Jhônatas, obrigado pelo carinho e amizade!

"Primeiramente, gostaria de parabenizar o autor Tim Marvim pela grande obra que é seu livro “666 - Caçadores de Demônios”. Fico feliz de saber que existe, sim, um autor brasileiro capaz de escrever uma ficção muito boa e tão deslumbrante quanto essa. Sem dúvida, ele é um escritor do calibre de Dan Brown, diria mesmo, um Dan Brown brasileiro. Seu livro traz uma viagem cheia de suspense, enigmas, paixão, etc. Trata-se de uma obra completa e, para mim, esse livro deve virar um filme. Sou grande fã de ficção e apoio essa ideia. Aliás, também sou fã de Dan Brown, li todos os seus romances e o livro do Tim Marvim chega a ser melhor do que o “Símbolo Perdido”. Realmente, amei o “666 – Caçadores de Demônios” e peço ao autor que siga essa carreira, que realmente vá adiante. Agradeço por estar expressando minha opinião sobre esse grande livro, que para mim é uma excelente obra."

"All through the night the deceased would stand wake by her friends and family at the cathedral, for the burial had been scheduled for the afternoon of the next day. Darkness had fallen when Jacques de Molay embraced Charles de Valois, the tearful husband, who seemed to be prostrated by the unexpected tragedy. After expressing him some words of consolation, the Temple Grandmaster went to the King of France to express him his condolences as well, for himself and in the name of all his Order. He never found him in the nave, though, and began to seek for him in the several side chapels and transepts built around Notre-Dame. He walked the Cathedral up and down for some time after him, but the French King seemed to have mysteriously vanished. Finally, Jacques de Molay heard his voice coming from a dependency of the vestry. He was talking with Guillaume de Nogaret, one of his most despicable ministers and this secret conversation gave forth the feeling that they had both searched for the isolation of that lonely chamber to conspire at will. After hearing one of them mention his own name, the Grandmaster hid behind a fluted pillar better to eavesdrop what they were scheming. The king was sitting on a wooden pew placed against the stone wall, while his minister stood before him, expectantly wringing his hands.

‘It is decided, then,’ said Nogaret. ‘We cannot lose any more time!’

‘I can’t wait to grab the Knights Templar’s treasure any longer…’ replied the king, a lascivious glint on his eyes.

‘Early in the morning,’ affirmed Nogaret, ‘I shall send a regiment of the Royal Guards to break into the Temple and confiscate all the Order’s assets!  Rest assured, my king, my friend, they will dearly pay for their crimes!’

‘Nonetheless, I demand that every last one of them be arrested!’ joined the king. ‘I want the end of that accursed brotherhood after all the evil it brought upon France!...’

Listening to those words, Jacques de Molay felt a deep pang in his heart and was preyed upon by outright despair. Losing no more time, he went for some Knights Templar who were stationed as a cavalry guard outside the Cathedral mounting their coursers.

‘Get back at once to the Temple and tell Gilles de Sens to fetch all the treasure of our Order, the books, and every document to the harbor of La Rochelle, where several of our ships are anchored,’ he commanded. ‘This iniquitous king decided to steal everything, arrest all Knights Templar, and destroy our Brotherhood. At the same time, messengers should ride to our fortresses all over Europe telling our brethren everywhere to proceed likewise. As soon as the cargo is completely placed into the ships these are to set sail from La Rochelle with the uttermost urgency!  Kill all horses from exhaustion on the several roads that might be necessary, but this evil tiding must reach every last one of our strongholds as early as possible. As soon as I can disengaged myself from the burial trappings, I’ll ride to the Temple myself to decide on the place our embarkations should take the treasure of our holy Order,’ he finished. ‘Go now! May God have mercy on us!...’"

“Quando iniciei a leitura de 666 - caçadores de demônios estava bastante empolgada. Com o passar das primeiras páginas percebi  que a leitura era um pouco complicada, pois não fluía e eu precisava ler algumas partes duas vezes para entender o que se passava. Porém logo o ritmo da leitura melhorou e eu não conseguia largar meu livro.

O convento Santa Maria della Grazie estava agitado e os frades acabaram acolhendo Simão, um beato se diz o novo Messias e começa a fazer "milagres" diante das pessoas. 

Frei Abelardo, um senhor de idade, percebe que chegou a hora de passar adiante o segredo que lhe fora passado, mostrando a Michael uma antiga biblioteca no convento. Este, apaixonado pela história dos cavaleiros templários acaba pegando uma obra sobre eles e abre uma passagem no convento... O final dela é nada mais que uma biblioteca templária com livros que achava-se que nem existiam. Uma morte acontece e Michael é o principal suspeito. O rapaz acaba fugindo e com base nos livros descobre um segredo que irá mudar o futuro da humanidade. 

Em uma busca alucinada Michael precisa procurar pistas deixadas em 7 torres que lhe mostrarão como salvar a igreja e todo o mundo. No caminho o jovem acaba encontrando Michele e se apaixona pela garota e ela segue o ajudando a encontrar as torres. Cada capítulo mostra uma letra ou objeto encontrado e Michael precisa descobrir como salvar o planeta.

Como falei o início do livro não faz jus à obra. É um tanto parado e a leitura não flui, acredito que as letras pequenas também contribuem, pois parece que você lê, lê e não passam as páginas. Porém quando Michael descobre os livros e começa a pesquisar sobre o passado e precisa fugir do convento a estória dá um 360° e faz com que você não queira largar o livro por nada no mundo. Juro, por mim eu ficaria lendo o dia todo e não largaria enquanto não acabasse. O desenrolar da estória faz com que o leitor viva o que Michael e Michele estão vivendo. Ao longo dos capítulos Tim Marvim colocou imagens dos locais que os protagonistas estão passando e das pistas que eles vão encontrando. Confesso que a primeira capa também decepciona, mas no blog do autor já está disponível uma nova capa para e-book e nos exemplares feitos na língua inglesa (fiquei apaixonada por essa nova capa). O livro está mais que recomendado. Eu amei a leitura, só não dei nota máxima por conta do que já mencionei na resenha.”

      "Bom pessoal, é meio difícil você descrever uma coisa que te agradou muito, principalmente para mim, quase ninguém me entende. Mas... Vamos ao ponto! 

A estória ocorre inicialmente na cidade Santa Maria Delle Grazie, onde, num convento é marcada a chegada de um Beato (Simão) conhecido por suas grandiosas previsões apocalípticas. Neste convento também reside Frei Abelardo e Michael, dois grandes amigos quase inseparáveis. 

Numa das idas e vindas da vida, Frei Abelardo revela a Michael o maior segredo do convento na qual somente ele sabia: Uma biblioteca super antiga com vários registros. Com pouco conhecimento valioso nesta biblioteca, apesar de ser muito frequentada pelo Frei, nada tinha de incrível. 

Com este segredo revelado a Michael, o mesmo fica excitado de tantas coisas interessantes que encontrava a todo o momento. Passada muito tempo na biblioteca, Michael encontra um suposto livro que o interessava, já que tinha o símbolo Templário, tentando tirar da estante uma alavanca é acionada e uma nova descoberta inicia-se. Outra biblioteca é encontrada, porém, esta nova possui um valor inafiançável. Possuía vários registros super valiosos e o que mais chamou atenção do jovem foi 3 livros que se encontravam abertos na mesinha. Eram: O diário de Jacques de Molay, Segredos Ocultos da Igreja e Evangelho de José de Arimateia, livros que poderiam corromper toda ordem religiosa. 
Ofegante, Michael decide contar todos os segredos para o seu grande amigo, amigo na qual seguiu as mesmas reações e com profunda curiosidade sente algumas dores e vai deitar. A noite cai e Michael começa a ler os livros, impressionantemente ele lê todos (Sonho meu)... Novamente ele vai contar ao Frei Abelardo e se depara com uma cena macabra: a morte de seu amigo. 

A partir daí, toda a aventura se inicia. Michael se vê perseguido pela polícia sendo acusado pelo assassinato do amigo, pela igreja que se vê ameaçada e por diabretes que procuram a prisão do demônio em algum dos 3 livros. Concluí-se, o livro é bem formulado, bem pensado mesmo, parabéns pela criatividade Tim Marvim! O autor conseguiu me prender em toda aquela narrativa incrível e bem interessante. Alguns temas delicados são bastante discutidos sem perder toda a graça e por ser um livro bem enigmático não torna difícil o entendimento. No começo fui meio relutante para iniciar aquela longa jornada, mas, com o passar das páginas você se vê grudado. ~ Alguém passou Super-Bond em mim e no livro.~ Era impressionante como meu radar estava em alerta. Se alguém dissesse ''OI'' para o Michael eu dizia: ''Ele é o assassino!'' ou ''Ele é o perseguidor!''. Em termos negativos no livro, como já havia comentado com o Tim Marvim, não curti a capa, sei lá. Achei-a muito simples para a valiosidade que continha naquelas páginas. Também não curti o tamanho das letras, mesmo não tendo problemas na visão senti uma pontada de dificuldade. 

Agradeço ao Tim por ter cedido o livro e por escrever de forma tão magnífica.
